But Why Validation?
A complete new car development can cost an historic OEM more than 1 billion USD. A model redesign (happening usually every 5 years) cost an estimated minimum of 200 million USD. The average modern car counts about 100 million lines of code, 30,000 components, hundreds of assemblies and subsystems, all coming from hundreds of different suppliers.
